About Author Adventures with Culbertson Kingdom
Geanna Culbertson is a 36-time award-winning author, publisher, and Girl Scout alumna of the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award. Her fantasy stories are known for their adventure, humor, heart, magical worlds, and positive messaging.
She has built a literary universe with 15 books and counting, and is passionate about creating dynamic characters that readers grow with, and embracing themes like self-acceptance, change, and taking fate into your own hands. She is also devoted to crafting complex, evolving female heroines. These passions, and her background at USC, Walt Disney Studios, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Studios, have led her to create amazing programming for the Girl Scouts, specializing in writing badges but also literacy-promoting Author Book Clubs, and fun and empowering activities like Hero-Princess Day, and Halloween/Founder’s Day events.

Screenwriter Badge (Recommended for Bridging Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors)
Try your hand at writing for the screen as you complete the steps to earn the Screenwriter badge! In this workshop, learn the keys to making a great script—from coming up with characters and building plots to the nuances between writing for film and TV vs. novels. Includes badge, in-person workshop, autographed book from Geanna Culbertson. 5th Grade Juniors will also complete a bridge to Cadette step!
Novelist Badge (Recommended for Upper-Level Cadettes, Seniors, & Ambassadors)
Have you ever wanted to write a book? Explore the essentials of writing top-tier stories with an award-winning author and publishing house owner. Participants will learn the steps to writing a novel, discover keys to developing strong plots and characters, and gain insight into a novelist’s career. Badge included!
Hero-Princess Day (Recommended for Brownies, Juniors, & Cadettes)
A fun-filled mix of karate, improv, charm school, and more! As a Princess you will master Etiquette, Eloquence, and Empathy. As a Hero you will tackle Valiance, Versatility, and Vulnerability. This workshop is designed for girls to gain the skills and confidence to meet new people and make new friends, move through different situations with conviction, and take action to make the world a better place. Come dressed as your version of a Hero, Princess, or Hero-Princess. Includes exclusive patch, in-person workshop led by fantasy and adventure author Geanna Culbertson, and a signed copy of Book One in her fairytale series starring Cinderella’s daughter!
